Marriage License

 

Applying:

  • Applicants must be a resident of Wexford County
  • Applicant(s) must appear in person to apply
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have Driver’s License, Pictured State ID,  or Passport. A certified copy of each applicants Birth Certificate is also required.
  • Fee $20.00 for Wexford County Residents, $30.00 for Out of State Residents. Anyone applying as an out of state resident MUST be getting married in Wexford County in order for the license to be issued through the Clerk’s Office.
  • License is valid for 30 days with a 3 day waiting period to receive license after application
  • Immediate delivery of license is available (to those who qualify) for an additional fee of $50.00

Certified Copies

Mail:

  • Fill out form or write letter with the following information:
  • Certificate holders names (Applicants)
  • Date of Marriage
  • Sign written request
  • Include fee(s): $15.00 for first certified and $5.00 for each additional certified copy.
  • Submit above information along with a self addressed stamped envelope for return of order. If an enveolope is not provided, please include an extra $1.00 for return.

  • Email request to clerkasst@wexfordcounty.org. A Deputy Clerk will then contact you for payment information.

On-Line with a Credit Card

  • You can order online with GovPros. In the Record Notes, please include:
    • Certificate holders name (Both Applicants)
    • Date of Marriage
