Mail:

  • Fill out form or write letter with the following information:

  • Certificate holders full name (First, Middle & Last)

  • Date of Discharge

  • Sign written request

  • Include photocopy of Driver's License or Pictured State ID

  • ONLY released to those who qualify

In Person:

  • Fill out form (also available at Clerk's Office)

  • Show Driver's License or Pictured State ID

  • ONLY released to those who qualify

RECORD OF VETERAN'S DISCHARGES Act 83 of 1867 §35.32 County clerk to record and index discharges from armed forces; discharge records confidential; persons entitled to copies of discharge records; compensation to clerk; sworn statement as to discharges recorded.  Sec. 2. The military services discharge records of a person shall be confidential and may be viewed or copied only by the veteran, a person with the veteran's permission, or the surviving heirs of a veteran.
